1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Ran-Doe ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service. We may modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ran-Doe. By using this service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We reserve the right to terminate access for any user we reasonably believe to be under 18.

3. Service Description

Ran-Doe provides a random video chat platform that:

• Connects users randomly for video and text chat sessions
• Uses anonymous authentication with device fingerprinting
• Stores text messages during active conversations for moderation
• Provides an AI chatbot (Ran-Doe Bot) for entertainment while waiting
• Allows users to report inappropriate behavior with screenshot evidence
• Maintains a blocking system to ban users who violate terms

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Upload, transmit, or display any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, or invasive of another's privacy
• Engage in any behavior that harms or could harm minors in any way
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your age
• Share personal information (yours or others') including real names, addresses, phone numbers, or social media handles
• Engage in any commercial activities, advertising, or solicitation
• Record, screenshot, or capture video/audio of other users without consent (except when using the report feature for safety violations)
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access the Service
• Attempt to circumvent blocks or bans using VPNs, proxies, or new devices
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Encourage or enable others to violate these terms

5. Privacy and Data Collection

By using Ran-Doe, you acknowledge and consent that:

• Text messages are stored in Firebase Firestore during conversations
• Device fingerprints are created for anonymous identification
• Reports may include screenshots captured via html2canvas
• Connection data is temporarily stored in server memory
• Your display name and age verification are stored locally
• Bot chat conversations are stored in your browser session

6. Reporting and Moderation

We provide a reporting system for user safety:

• Users can report violations with descriptions and screenshot evidence
• Screenshots are captured using html2canvas when you choose to include evidence
• Reports are reviewed and may result in permanent bans
• False reporting or abuse of the report system may result in your ban
• We maintain records of reports for legal and safety purposes

By submitting a report, you consent to the capture and storage of screenshot evidence and affirm that your report is truthful and made in good faith.

7. Blocking and Bans

We maintain a blocking system where:

• Violators are banned based on device fingerprints
• Blocked users cannot access the Service
• Bans may be permanent and are not automatically reversed
• Attempting to evade bans is prohibited and may result in legal action

8. Content and Intellectual Property

Users retain rights to their content but grant us license to:

• Store and display messages within the Service
• Store and review reported content for safety
• Share content with law enforcement if legally required

The Ran-Doe platform, including the bot and all associated code, remains our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software.

9. No Recording Policy

Recording or capturing other users without consent is strictly prohibited, except when using our official report feature for safety violations. Users who record, screenshot, or capture others outside of the reporting system will be permanently banned. This includes:

• Screen recording software
• External cameras or devices
• Screenshot tools (except our report feature)
• Any form of stream capture

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties regarding the behavior of other users
• Warranties about the accuracy or reliability of any content

You acknowledge that you may encounter content or behavior you find offensive, and you use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAN-DOE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or use
• Emotional distress or mental anguish
• Any damages resulting from user interactions
• Any damages from Service interruptions or errors

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD regardless of the cause of action.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ran-Doe, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your content or conduct on the platform

13. Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Terminate or suspend access immediately, without notice, for any reason
• Remove or block any content at our sole discretion
• Preserve content and data for legal compliance
• Cooperate with law enforcement investigations

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

14. DMCA Policy

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, please provide:

• Description of the copyrighted work
• Location of the infringing material
• Your contact information
• A statement of good faith belief
• A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in these courts.

16. Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ran-Doe regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
